Hail Kingdom of Pentwyvern, her allies, comrades and friends. I bring to you news most joyous. The warm breezes of Summer have yielded to the cool winds of Autumn. Frost settles upon our fields at night, a sure sign that the raiding season has come to an end. The dragon ships are ready for their long slumber, and the crops have been harvested. The time of celebration is at hand. A grand feast has been planned for Saturday November 21st. So please come and join us for a weekend of fighting and feasting, as we herald in season in proper style.
There will be battles in field and forest, bridge and boat, and tournaments will be many and diverse. The Field battles will be all day and not be interrupted by the tourneys. For the forest battle may include a grand hunt, this year. It shall be all that you have become accustom to and so much more. There will be contests of coloring, table decorations, best garb, as well as a bardic competition.
The menu has not been set yet, but will entail several courses. The feast will likely include fresh fruits and vegetables, breads with herb and honey butter and cheese, soup, risotto, roast fowl and pork loin, as well as pies and or puddings for dessert. I will likely be mulling up several gallons of hot apple cider for the evening, as well.
So, come one come all and support your realm. We shall be fortunate to host friends and allies from many neighboring realms. Attendance is expected to be high, so register early, to ensure your seat. This is likely to be the last great bash of the season, so do not get caught sitting at home, wishing you had made this feast...
This is our fifth year at this hall. The hall is large, heated with indoor and outdoor fire pits. There is a common sleeping room with 40 bunks (but no mattresses), and plenty of floor space. There is also plenty of room for camping, for those stalwart few who would prefer a little more privacy.
We have reserved this hall for the weekend, Friday November 20th from 3pm till Sunday the 22nd at 2pm. There will be fighting Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday for those who remain late.
Directions to Hall: If you’re coming from the North west, all points Michigan, and northern Indiana, and Chicago area. Take 80 east to 71, 80 is a toll road. Take 71 south to 303 east. You will pass through a few small townships, then turn south on State road. You will travel aprox. 2 miles on this road and there will be a sign for the Brooklyn Exchange Club Cabin. That’s it. There will be a banner posted and I will talk to the local police about possibly hanging some other signs at the State road turn. From the south take 71 north and then turn onto 303 east and follow above directions. From Akron, take Rt 8 north to the 303 exit and go west. Turn south on State road, not the same State road in Cuyahoga Falls, and follow above directions.
